Engineer, master roaster and quality-control manager with 15+ years in coffee. Third generation of GARANTİ Roasters, connecting machinery manufacturing, roast practice and sensory quality control.

RoastingWorks Campus · İzmir
Four days, three SCA Coffee Skills courses, three participants. Hands-on on the award-winning 6 kg FOCHA with MYGR profile control, taught by SCA Authorized Trainer Sinem UMSU (@roasterlady) and Can UMSU.
We also offer SCA Roasting Professional as a separate advanced course.
On FOCHA, MYGR records Bean Temperature, Exhaust Temperature and Rate of Rise live. You learn to mark the turning point, yellowing, first crack and drop, then connect the curve to what you taste at the cupping table.
Build on your Intermediate training with advanced roast profile design, production roasting and quality control.
Offered separately from the four-day Introduction to Coffee + Foundation + Intermediate program. No course date has been announced yet. Contact us for upcoming dates and the daily schedule.
Start from the seed-to-cup chain, then meet the machine: anatomy, safety and the stages of a roast.
Guided roasts with every batch logged, so cause and effect become visible.
Read the curve: heat transfer, Maillard reactions and development time, compared across profiles and cupped.
Turn a good roast into a repeatable one and prepare for the applicable SCA assessments.
The daily sequence may be adjusted to the cohort and current SCA requirements. Course scope follows the SCA Coffee Skills Program and its course catalogue.
The four-day Foundation + Intermediate cohort is marked in red. In any month you can pick a start day and send it to us. Availability is always confirmed in writing.
